Belarus, China continue mutually beneficial cooperation amid global instability

MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – Despite global instability Belarus and the People’s Republic of China continue expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko made the statement after official negotiations with his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang, BelTA has learned.

Roman Golovchenko said: “The visit of our friend, Mister Li Qiang to Belarus is a historical one. The prime minister of the Chinese government came to our country 17 years ago last time. We attach exceptional significance to this visit, which organically continues good traditions of regular Belarusian-Chinese contacts at the top level.”

He remarked that today the parties held sincere and substantial negotiations in a friendly atmosphere in the spirit of strategic partnership. “We discussed practical results, determined tasks, plans, and promising directions of bilateral cooperation. We thoroughly exchanged opinions about topical items on the regional and international agendas. The negotiations we’ve held indicate that both Minsk and Beijing attach great significance to the development and reinforcement of all-weather and all-round strategic partnership in a new age. Belarus-China relations are exemplary. Despite the unprecedented pressure from the outside, despite the overall unstable situation in the global economy, despite complicated processes going on on world markets Belarus and China continue building mutually beneficial cooperation,” the prime minister stressed.
