Belarus’ CEC: No reports about flagrant violations during early voting

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) - The Central Election Commission has received no information about flagrant violations during early voting, Yelena Grigorovich, the head of the Department for Legal, Analytical and Methodological Work at the Office of the Central Election Commission (CEC), told reporters, BelTA has learned.

"During the three days of early voting, the voter turnout exceeded 24%. We see the most active voting in Gomel Oblast. 30% of the voters included in the voters’ lists have already cast their balloter," Yelena Grigorovich said.

"We have received no information about any flagrant violations," the CEC representative added. “The Central Election Commission operates a call center. It has received more than a hundred calls from citizens per day during the early voting period. Citizens mainly inquire about the location of a polling station, the opening hours, how they can talk to candidates for deputies. So, these are mostly inquiries for information and explanation. We have received no reports about violations."
