Belarus’ Capital of Culture 2024 honored with its own stamp

BELYNICHI, 29 February (BelTA) - An envelope with a commemorative stamp "Belynichi - the Capital of Culture of Belarus 2024" has been launched by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization. The first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony was held in the town of Belynichi on 29 February, BelTA has learned.

The envelope was designed by artist Tatyana Dolskaya and designer Svetlana Tsyrulik.


The envelope depicts the sculptural composition "The Appearance of the Icon", the church in honor of the Belynichi Icon of the Mother of God, and the coat of arms of the town. The stamp depicts the Bialynitsky-Birulia Art Museum in Belynichi.

The envelope has 30,000 copies.



The first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony was attended by Belarusian Culture Minister Anatoly Markevich, Chairman of the Belynichi District Executive Committee Olga Pristromskaya and Director of the Mogilev Office of the Belarusian national mail service Belpochta Aleksandr Bruchikov.

The ceremony to dedicate the thematic stamped envelope became part of the festive events to launch the national campaign "Belynichi - the Capital of Culture of Belarus 2024".
