Belarus' border service: Lithuania continues to shoot orchestrated videos about its ‘hospitality'

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) - Lithuania continues to shoot orchestrated videos about its ‘hospitality', the Belarusian State Border Committee told BelTA.

"On 19 November, the Lithuanian security forces once again brought a group of refugees to the border to make an orchestrated video. Some of these foreigners had previously been featured in another video shot near the border about Lithuanian ‘hospitality',” the State Border Committee said. “This time, after giving them food packages the Lithuanian security forces briefed them how to answer journalists' questions properly. The latest video featured civilians who asked the refugees pre-approved questions. After the so-called interview, the Lithuanian security forces took all the foreigners away and posted the video on the Lithuanian portal Delfi on 21 November.”

The State Border Committee did not rule out that there will be a third part of the film project where Lithuania uses the people seeking protection in the EU to generate the ‘right' content. After all, it is obvious that the refugees have no way out and if they do not say on camera what the Lithuanian security forces ask them to, they will be pushed back into Belarus," the State Border Committee added.
