MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) - First convoys of freight transport vehicles have begun moving from the Kamenny Log checkpoint to designated parking areas, the State Border Committee told BelTA.
At this moment, Belarusian customs officers are serving official notices to truck drivers, requiring them to relocate their vehicles to the designated parking areas near the Belarusian border checkpoints Kamenny Log, Kotlovka, Benyakoni and Brestovitsa. The first convoys of freight transport, escorted by traffic police, have already departed for the designated locations.
More than 660 trucks are backed up in front of the Lithuanian border checkpoint Medininkai (Kamenny Log on the Belarusian side). Over the past 24 hours, Lithuanian border services have cleared only 75 cargo vehicles to enter their territory out of a possible 500.
