VITEBSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Beshenkovichi District is set to sign a memorandum of cooperation in trade, economy, social sector and culture with Georgia's Tianeti Municipality via videoconferencing on 26 June, BelTA learned from the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee.
During the videoconferencing the parties will discuss cooperation prospects in the above-mentioned areas. Representatives of Tianeti Municipality will also congratulate residents of Beshenkovichi District on the 76th anniversary of the district's liberation from the Nazi invaders. Belarusian and Georgian performers will pay tribute to Georgian poet Mirza Gelovani who died while liberating Beshenkovichi District and was buried in a mass grave in the village of Sanniki.
After the signing of the memorandum, Belarusian MP and television personality Tengiz Dumbadze will bring soil from Tianeti Municipality to the mass grave in the village of Sanniki.
