Belarus attends UNEA-6 session in Nairobi 

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) - The sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) is running at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya from 26 February to 1 March 2024, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in the Republic of Kenya.

The delegation of the Republic of Belarus consisting of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Andrei Khudyk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kenya, the Permanent Representative of our country to UNEP Pavel Vzyatkin, and representatives of the Embassy and the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry are attending the session both online and in-person. 

UNEA-6 will focus on how multilateralism can help tackle the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste.

The session is planned to adopt a number of important resolutions and declarations aimed at solving environmental problems.
