MOSCOW, 18 March (BelTA) – The state and prospects of Belarus-Russia cooperation in the space sector were discussed by Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities Dmitry Bakanov, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission.
“Aleksandr Rogozhnik welcomed the high level of interaction between Belarus and Russia in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, the successful implementation of the Union State scientific and technical programs in this area. He emphasized that the effective cooperation helped fulfill the most ambitious tasks, including sending the first Belarusian female cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya to space. He thanked the Russian partners for supporting the Belarusian programs of space exploration and use,” the press service said.
