GRODNO, 28 July (BelTA) - Today, on the feast day of St. Vladimir the Equal-to-the-Apostles, a baptismal Divine Liturgy was celebrated on the Neman River near St. Elisha of Lavrishevo Monastery. The divine service combined two sacraments - baptism and communion. The baptism itself was performed in the waters of the Neman River. The services were led by Archpriest Anatoly Gerasimuk, the Dean of the Orthodox churches of Novogrudok District. This year, five people - children, adults and the elderly - were baptized in the solemn ceremony.
