MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – Austrian press and Western media in general deliberately vilify Belarus and cover the situation in the country in a biased way, member of the Communist Party of Austria, member of the parliament of the Austrian federal state of Styria, member of the Leoben municipal council Dr. Werner Murgg said in an interview with a BelTA journalist. The Austrian politician is on a visit to Belarus as part of the delegation of the Austria-Belarus Friendship Society.
According to him, the delegation arrived in Belarus to see with their own eyes what is happening in the country. What they saw was a far cry from what was written in the Western media. The delegation visited Brest and Minsk and saw calm, peace and order in the country.
“We saw none of the things the Austrian press wrote about, everything is just the opposite - Belarus lives a normal and peaceful life,” Dr. Werner Murgg said.
