MINSK, 4 October (BelTA) – During the talks in Minsk on 3 October Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov invited Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan, BelTA has learned.
“I take this opportunity to invite Roman Aleksandrovich [Golovchenko] to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan at any time convenient for him. We will always be glad to see him,” Ali Asadov said.
“Today we are here with a huge government delegation, which clearly indicates our commitment to further deepening and expanding mutually beneficial partnership with a friendly nation of Belarus. During the meeting with the president of Belarus, mutual interest in closer Azerbaijan-Belarus relations was expressed. At the talks with the prime minister of Belarus in a narrow and expanded format, we thoroughly discussed ways to step up mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. The tasks and guidelines outlined by the heads of state during the state visit of the Belarusian president to Azerbaijan in May serve as a clear guideline for our governments. Today, the governments are actively working to fulfill the instructions of the heads of state,” the prime minister of Azerbaijan noted.
The parties agreed to put in more efforts in intensifying trade and economic cooperation. “It is necessary to work harder to increase mutual supplies. We actively cooperate in the manufacturing industry, which is a key area of our cooperation. Ganja Automobile Plant is a driver of our industrial cooperation. There are enough projects on the bilateral agenda. It is gratifying that there is mutual interest and commitment to achieving results. We are ready to keep working together to implement agreements and instructions of the heads of state,” Ali Asadov emphasized.
