MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) - Belteleradiocompany will accept e-applications for participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 national qualifying round until 17 January , BelTA has learned from the press service of the media holding company.
“Performers can apply for the audition at www.tvr.by until 17 January. Belteleradiocompany's focus group will pre-cast musical compositions after that and form a list of participants for the live audition. The list of the contestants allowed to the audition will be published on the organizer's website no later than 22 January, " the press service said.
Experts from TV, music and show business will choose 12 final participants at the audition on 27 January. The organizer can change the number of finalists both on its own volition and on the proposal from the professional jury. Belteleradiocompany will broadcast the audition live on its website.
The final will take place no later than 6 March 2020 in the form of a live TV show on Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 TV channels. The winner will be determined via voting of the professional jury and the audience.
The finalist with the most points from the professional jury and the TV audience will become the official representative of the Republic of Belarus at the 65th Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands in May.
The organizer of the project is Belteleradiocompany, the only member of the European Broadcasting Union in Belarus. The co-organizer is the Culture Ministry. The project regulations are available on Belteleradiocompany's website.More about Society
