MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) - Another plane carrying Sinopharm's SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell) took off from Beijing to Belarus on 20 January, the day that marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in China.
“The cargo includes 1.5 million doses of the vaccine Vero Cell and more than 1.5 million syringes, which the Chinese government has donated to Belarus, as well as 1.5 million doses of a similar vaccine purchased by Belarus,” the diplomatic mission said.
The cargo is delivered by the Belarusian air carrier.
The agreement to provide Belarus with 1.5 million doses of the Chinese vaccine was reached during the telephone conversation between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping on 10 January 2022.
