MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – There are currently five direct flights between Belarus and Kazakhstan, and another one will be launched in June, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“We now have five direct flights a week on the Minsk-Astana route. In June, another flight will be added to the timetable bringing the number of direct flights to six. Of course, this will make traveling much more convenient,” the ambassador said.

Pavel Utyupin added that new destinations in Kazakhstan are being discussed. “We are in talks with Kazakhstan's aviation services about a possibility to launch a flight from Almaty to Minsk,” the ambassador noted. He emphasized that this will make it possible for business people and tourists to travel from Kazakhstan to Belarus without changing flights.
