MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) - The West has no strategic vision regarding the conflict in Ukraine, economist and analyst Serghei Banari said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
“I have been saying for the past year and will continue to say: the West has no strategic vision regarding the conflict in Ukraine. They did not have a Plan B. They had a Plan A with two possible scenarios. The first was inflicting a strategic military defeat on the Russian Federation. And the second was regime change. They could be combined, separated, or swapped. They had, and have, no Plan B,” Serghei Banari commented on the U.S. plan for resolving the situation in Ukraine.
According to him, the West hates Slavs so much that we were, are, and will be a “biological threat” for them. “And this peace plan is also of a very temporary nature. For maybe 30, or 50 years. Because the West’s advance on the center of Slavic civilization, which is located in the Russian Federation, will not stop as long as Russia exists. Because by destroying the center, you destroy the civilization. This has happened, is happening, and will continue to happen,” he is convinced.
According to Serghei Banari, insights that are now being presented as Trump’s peace plan have already been voiced repeatedly on various platforms. “I don’t see anything from Donald Trump here, except perhaps for this situation with the frozen Russian assets. And again, that is a highly debatable issue,” he believes.
There are several important things that fundamentally distinguish the West from the East, from Eurasia. “First of all (I have repeated this axiom many times, which, in my opinion, very clearly reflects the inner essence), where the West’s limit of endurance ends, for us, Slavs, it has not even begun. That’s one. Second, their culture mainly follows the path of ‘wanting, seeming’. It doesn’t matter how things really are. For us, it is important to ‘be’. And this is also very important to understand. If we look carefully, both the bureaucrats from the European Union and the entire White House administration seem to be acting in a script for some talk show or series, very similar to Servant of the People or Madam Secretary. Everything is built around a show. To wrap not very nice, not very honest, not very humane things in a proper, beautiful package. For us, it is very important what is actually happening, what the result will be, and, most importantly, how we will achieve this result,” the expert noted. “If we are always faced with the dilemma: to be or not to be, whether these tools are worthy or not, the West never thinks about this.”
