MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Russia can deliver a blow to Ukraine from which the country would never recover, economist and analyst Serghei Banari said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
“I believe that Russia has now accumulated a force of such magnitude in terms of both troops and weaponry that it may only be awaiting the order from the [commander-in-chief] to deliver a strike from which Ukraine would never recover. And I think this is the key advantage that Putin brings to the table in his conversations with the Anglo-Saxon negotiators,” Serghei Banari said.
In his opinion, this is precisely why attempts to declare Russia defeated or to seize its frozen assets are slowly disappearing from the agenda,becoming relics of the past that European politicians sometimes use to bolster their own relevance or draw attention to themselves.
“Everyone understands perfectly well that Merz, Macron, and Ursula von der Leyen are absolutely players. They simply act as transmitters of someone else’s will. And their statements should be viewed solely as transmissions, not as independent positions,” the analyst stated.
