Ambassador: Palestine, Belarus have built very good, trust-based relations

MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – Palestine and Belarus have developed very good, trust-based relations, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Belarus Ahmed Almathbouh said as he met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko, BelTA has learned.

“Very good, trusting relations have been built between Palestine and Belarus. We are trying to strengthen these relations and expand our contacts in all areas, including politics, finances, and culture,” the ambassador said.

“We are very grateful to Belarus for its support in the international arena. Belarus’ votes in favor of Palestine mean a lot for us, and Belarus always raises its voice to defend truth and justice. We highly appreciate that Belarus is there for us,” Ahmed Almathbouh emphasized. “Before coming here, we had a conversation with the Palestinian parliament speaker. He asked to convey his best regards to you and said he would like to meet with you,” the ambassador noted.

According to him, Palestine is ready to set up a Belarus-Palestine friendship group in its parliament.
