MINSK, 19 February (BelTA) - We are happy to see you at the China-Belarus tourism promotion presentation organized jointly by the Chinese Embassy and the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan said as he welcomed the participants including Chinese tourism industry representatives who are on a study tour in Belarus on 18-24 February, BelTA learned.

China and Belarus are 'iron brothers' who support each other,” the Ambassador continued. “Since old days the peoples of our two countries have treated each other with trust and respect. Recently the two countries have been jointly promoting the Belt and Road initiative. Cooperation in tourism has gained an even great impetus since President Xi Jinping and President Aleksandr Lukashenko raised the China-Belarus relations to the all-weather and all-round strategic partnership, Ambassador Zhang Wenchuan said.

“Thanks to the mutual visa-waiver policy, the increase in the number of direct flights and other measures taken, the interaction between citizens of the two countries has become even more convenient. With the help of the air corridor accessible to all, mutual travel for tourists of both countries has become a reality,” the diplomat said.
