MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) - We plan to hold the third Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum in Vitebsk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belarus Rakhmatulla Nazarov told the media following his meeting with Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova on 17 March, BelTA has learned.
"We have established a wonderful tradition. This year, we plan to hold the third Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum in Vitebsk. The forum is expected to bring together not only women entrepreneurs but also representatives of many organizations where women play a key role. It is a great and convenient platform to establish direct contacts," the ambassador said.
Uzbekistan hosted the forum last year. "A significant package of documents was signed, including a million dollar contract. We achieved these results thanks to the forum. It is one of the effective mechanisms to develop productive and constructive ties between our countries," Ambassador Rakhmatulla Nazarov emphasized.
During the meeting, Natalya Kochanova noted that preparations for the third Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum are currently underway. According to her, this matter will be discussed in detail with Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairwoman of Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan during the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in April.
