Allied Resolve exercise drills air cover for troops

MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) - During the Belarusian-Russian joint operational exercise Allied Resolve 2022, the troops of the two countries continue practicing combat tasks, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry.

At the Gozhsky training ground, the mechanized brigade units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are practicing destroying an aggressor who broke into the position.

At the Brestsky training ground, units of the Russian Airborne Forces are carrying out the landing and destruction of the illegal armed group.

In the area near Baranovichi, units of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus and units of the Marine Corps of the Russian Armed Forces are conducting a training battle on the defense and offense lines. Air defense units are practicing covering troops from an aggressor's air strikes.

In the Gomel sector, units of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus are practicing the protection of facilities, suppressing and destroying sabotage and reconnaissance groups of an aggressor and an illegal armed group.

In the Luninets sector the anti-aircraft missile units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are drilling air cover for troops. The units are performing combat duty air defense tasks.

In the Maryina Gorka sector special operations units of the Armed Forces of Belarus and the Armed Forces of Russia are conducting a tactical and special training, organizing an ambush by a special forces reconnaissance group, and performing tactical firing exercises at night.

Armored infantry units and units of the Airborne Troops of the Russian Armed Forces are being deployed in the Rechitsa sector, preparing for an offensive and combating enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups and illegal armed groups.

In the areas of Osipovichi, Mozyr, Polessky and Pinsk, the troops of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation continue conducting joint combat training operations.
