MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – Belarus-Russia joint military drills Allied Resolve 2022 are underway in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.
At the Gozhsky training ground, a mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continues practicing a defensive operation. An airborne assault brigade of the Russian Airborne Forces is practicing destroying sabotage and reconnaissance groups of a mock enemy.
At the Brestsky training ground, special operations forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces, the Airborne Forces and motorized rifle units of the Russian Armed Forces are practicing taking under control designated objects, columns of rear units, opening the caches of illegal armed formations.
In the vicinity of Gomel, special operations forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces together with the Russian Airborne Forces are searching, encircling and destroying sabotage and reconnaissance groups of a mock enemy and illegal armed formations. In addition to that, special operations forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces are strengthening some border sections.
Mechanized units of the Belarusian Armed Forces and marines of the Russian Armed Forces are conducting combat operations of mobile defense in the area of Baranovichi.
Near Luninets, attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces are backing the troops during a defensive operation.
In the areas of Maryina Gorka, Osipovichi, Pinsk, Polesie, Mozyr and Rechitsa, the troops of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation conducted joint combat training tasks.
