MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – The Eurasian Women's Forum is an influential dialog platform dealing with a wide range of matters, Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic Sergei Aleinik told the media, BelTA has learned.
"The forum has become an influential platform for dialog on a wide range of matters. There are plans to hold sections on key matters: Role of women in developing a new agenda of peace and trust; Women in the new economic reality – technology and innovation; Women for a clean planet and food security; Women for the preservation of traditions and cultural diversity; Women for a healthy society and social well-being," Sergei Aleinik said.
The concept of the forum allows systematizing discussions about women’s role in building peace and trust, promoting a health style and environmental protection, furthering economic development and digitalization, implementing social changes. The forum's business program features plenary sessions, discussion platforms, including those with opinion leaders, strategic and expert sessions with the participation of international organizations, public-private and business dialog, peer-to-peer discussions, webinars, workshops, and business breakfasts. Moreover, the BRICS Women's Forum is planned to be held on the sidelines of the forum. The main topic of the fourth Eurasian Women's Forum is “Women for building trust and global cooperation”.
The fourth Eurasian Women's Forum will be held in St. Petersburg on 18-20 September. The Eurasian Women's Forum is an influential international dialog platform for women-leaders from all continents. The forum develops joint solutions on topical issues of international cooperation, sustainable economic development, mastering new technologies, ensuring healthy lifestyles and environmental safety, and promoting social charity projects. The forum participants include women parliamentarians, entrepreneurs, representatives of executive authorities, international organizations, business circles, scientific community, public organizations and charitable projects, authority figures of the international women's movement from many countries of the world.
The forum is organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia and the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
