Agreements reached on new supplies of Belarus’ peat products to Türkiye

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Agreements have been reached on new supplies of Belarusian peat products to the Republic of Türkiye, BelTA learned from the press service of the Energy Ministry.

The products will be supplied as part of a memorandum that was signed by the Beltopgaz delegation and the Turkish company GLS Grup at the international agriculture, livestock and poultry exhibition AgroExpo 2024 in Izmir that was held from 30 January to 3 February.

The document provides for long-term cooperation and the supply of separated peat and nutritious peat soils to Türkiye to be used for growing flowers, vegetables, tree and shrub seedlings. The first batches of peat products from Belarus are to be shipped to the customer this year.

AgroExpo is Türkiye’s largest agricultural tradeshow that brings together the world's leading manufacturers of food products, agricultural machinery and equipment. This year, 500 delegates from 100 countries took part in it. More than 150,000 people attended the exhibition.
