Aerobatics in the sky and on the ground! Army parade in Minsk // LIVE

MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) – Exactly 80 years ago soldiers of the Red Army liberated Minsk from Nazi invaders. Belarusians remember and honor the heroic deed of their forefathers, who secured peaceful sky and calm life for them through incredible effort. To commemorate the accomplishment, an army parade will take place in Pobeditelei Avenue in Minsk on 3 July, BelTA has learned.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 9:00. A live broadcast of the event will be available on BelTA’s YouTube channel.

The army parade to commemorate the date every Belarusian remembers will be truly massive: over 5,000 military personnel will take part in it in addition to over 300 units of wheeled and tracked vehicles as part of the mechanized column. Aerobatic flights will be seen in the sky as 47 modern units of the Belarusian Air Force and the Russian one will fly over the hero city of Minsk.

The mechanized column will begin with legendary main battle tanks T-34. They will be followed by Belarusian MLRS Polonez and Russian tactical missile systems Iskander, T-72B3 tanks, multiple-launch rocket systems BelGrad and Uragan, air defense missile systems S-300 PS and S-400 Triumf as well as many other kinds of hardware.

Minsk residents and guests will be able to see Mi-8MTV5 and Ka-52 Alligator helicopters, Yak-130 and An-26 aircraft as well as other combat aviation units in the sky above the Belarusian capital.
