MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – Accreditation of foreign journalists who want to cover the presidential election in Belarus is starting on 12 December, BelTA reports citing the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Accreditation of foreign journalists who want to cover the presidential election in the Republic of Belarus, which will be held on 26 January 2025, begins on 12 December. To get accredited, foreign journalists should undergo a temporary accreditation procedure on the website of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs by 13 January 2025,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.
Journalists who have valid permanent accreditation with the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs should also submit an application to cover the election to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by 13 January 2025.
The information center of the Central Election Commission will be operating in Minsk from 24 January to 27 January 2025. To enter the center, representatives of foreign media accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will need to present a special badge.
Such badges will be handed over at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus on 22 January 2025.
