MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – Over 350 passenger cars and 15 buses are queuing up to enter Poland before the weekend, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
Near the only Polish border checkpoint for passenger cars Terespol (Brest) 350 cars are waiting to enter the EU. The Polish border checkpoint have cleared 30% of the normal number of passenger cars since the beginning of the week.
The queue of 30 passenger cars is waiting in front of the Lithuanian border checkpoint Medininkai (Kamenny Log) to enter the EU. During the week, the Lithuanian border checkpoint handled about 55% of the normal number of cars.
As of 10:00, a total of 15 buses were waiting to enter the EU near the border checkpoint Terespol (Brest).
The busiest route for trucks to enter the EU goes through the Lithuanian border checkpoint Salcininkai (Benyakoni). On Monday, the border checkpoint accepted about 40% of vehicles. The least amount of vehicles, on average 15% of the normal number, was checked by the Lithuanian border crossing Medininkai (Kamenny Log).
The Latvian border checkpoint Paternieki (Grigorovshchina) cleared 43% of trucks entering the EU. The Polish border checkpoint Kukuryki (Kozlovichi) accepted 51% of trucks into Poland.
