A record number of participants in the Easter in Minsk World contest this year!

A record number of applications were sent this year for the annual Easter in Minsk World contest. Over the four weeks, the organizers received 951 artworks! Some of the children sent two creative projects, so the total number of participants was 829.

This result is unique in the history of the Easter in Minsk World contest. The first contest was held in 2016. Compared to the first year, the number of participants has increased six times! Back then Minsk schoolchildren sent more than 150 works.

Works from past years are available HERE.

According to the jury, every year it is becoming more difficult to choose the winner: the works become more monumental and original. Children show incredible imagination in their artwork.

"All the contestants are very talented. It is interesting to know how children see the Belarusian capital, whether they like modern buildings in Minsk, including those under construction in the Minsk World multifunctional complex. In addition, the contestants inspire our designers to new ideas," the jury shared their impressions.

The award ceremony was held in the Minsk World multifunctional complex. The winners received certificates and shared their impressions.

For example, Marina Yaroshenya did not expect at all to be among the winners. Her winning entry was made jointly with her mother and sister: the girl enjoyed the process and was happy to show people her work.

In contrast, Vanya Trutko was confident about his artwork and even expected to win. The boy said that he had been fascinated by the houses of the complex for a while. Perhaps, this is why he was able to create such an interesting artwork and clinch victory.

Katya Sinkevich likes participating in competitions. This time, she had an unusual task: to combine the topics of construction and Easter in one artwork. It took her around 18 hours to finish it. “I intend to invest my prize money in something. Perhaps, I will give it to my parents to buy an apartment in Minsk World,” she said seriously.

Masha Boriskevich learned about the competition from her father who is studying options of buying an apartment. “When I heard the name ‘Minsk World' I immediately thought about a big world, a big planet. In my work, I depicted the complex, every quarter of which is bustling with activity,” she explained.

The girl's mother said in private that before drawing the complex the daughter had studied the buildings for a long time and had worked out every detail.

For Kseniya Balanchuk's family the victory coincided with another joyous event – the early repayment of the installment plan for buying an apartment in the Emirates quarter.

We live in this area and are satisfied with everything. We are satisfied with the location and the proximity to the center. Kids go to a new kindergarten now. We hope they will be able to go to a new school,” the girl's mother Olga said.
