576 Ukrainians enter Belarus in past 24 hours

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Ukrainian nationals keep arriving in Belarus, most of them in transit through Poland, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

“From 6.00 on 13 April to 6.00 on 14 April 576 Ukrainians entered Belarus: 85 citizens of Ukraine arrived in Belarus from the territory of Ukraine, 392 Ukrainians came to Belarus transiting through Poland; 98 Ukrainians passed in transit through Lithuania, and 1 through Latvia,” the State Border Committee said.

Belarus continues to provide the necessary assistance to people arriving from the Ukrainian territory.

“The Belarus Red Cross and the Emergencies Ministry are running mobile warming centers near the villages of Gden, Poddobryanka and the Novaya Guta border checkpoint. Rescuers, medical staff and Red Cross volunteers are on the ground to provide assistance. In addition, foreign nationals traveling from Ukraine to the place of permanent residence are allowed visa-free entry to Belarus through 15 April,” the State Border Committee informed.

Belarusian checkpoints are operating in a routine mode.
