23,565 Ukrainians enter Belarus since 24 February

MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – A total of 23,565 Ukrainian nationals have arrived in Belarus since 24 February, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

“From 6.00 on 24 February to 6.00 on 22 April 15,762 Ukrainians entered Belarus from the territory of Ukraine, 7,039 Ukrainians came to Belarus transiting through Poland; 670 Ukrainians passed in transit through Lithuania, and 94 through Latvia. Over the past 24 hours, 1 Ukrainian entered Belarus from the territory of Ukraine, 164 Ukrainians came to Belarus transiting through Poland; 16 Ukrainians passed in transit through Lithuania, and 3 through Latvia,” the State Border Committee said.

According to the committee, since 3 April foreign nationals arriving in Belarus due to the social and political situation in Ukraine, including those transiting through other countries, do not need to present the negative result of a PCR test to enter the country.

Belarusian checkpoints are operating in a routine mode.
