22,308 Ukrainians enter Belarus since 24 February

MINSK, 15 April (BelTA) – A total of 22,308 Ukrainian nationals have arrived in Belarus since 24 February, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

“All in all, 22,308 citizens of Ukraine have come to Belarus since 24 February. From 6.00 on 24 February to 6.00 on 15 April 15,746 Ukrainians entered Belarus from the territory of Ukraine, 5,967 Ukrainians came to Belarus transiting through Poland; 534 Ukrainians passed in transit through Lithuania, and 61 through Latvia. Over the past 24 hours, 197 Ukrainians entered Belarus from the territory of Ukraine, 192 Ukrainians came to Belarus transiting through Poland; 8 Ukrainians passed in transit through Lithuania, and 2 through Latvia,” the State Border Committee said.

Belarus continues to provide the necessary assistance to people arriving from the Ukrainian territory.

“We would like to draw attention to the fact that the visa waiver for foreign nationals traveling from Ukraine expires today. A reminder, since 3 April foreign nationals arriving in Belarus due to the social and political situation in Ukraine, including those transiting through other countries, do not need to present the negative result of a PCR test to enter the country,” the State Border Committee informed.

Belarusian checkpoints are operating in a routine mode.
