MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) – The Vremya Pervogo [Time of the First] project on the Belarus 1 TV channel showed what the Belarusian delegation was treated to during the visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Oman, BelTA reports.
One of the treats was Omani halwa. This treat is well known to Belarusians, but in Oman it is served differently. Halwa is served with coffee that may taste unusual. It is called gahwa. Green beans are fried in a frying pan, pulverized and poured with water. This coffee turns out very tangy.
Oman is one of the world's suppliers of incense. This resin secreted by trees is used to fumigate nearly everything - this is one of Omani traditions.
