Putin awards Lukashenko Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle the First-Called

MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to award President of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State Aleksandr Lukashenko the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle the First-Called, reads the official website of the Kremlin.

“The Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle the First-Called is bestowed upon President of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State Aleksandr Lukashenko for outstanding contribution to promoting alliance and strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, for strengthening friendly ties between Russian and Belarusian peoples, as well as for a great personal contribution to the establishment and effective work of the Union State,” the document reads.
