MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – At least five new technology parks will be commissioned in Minsk over the next five years, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he visited the Minsk City Technopark on 16 January, BelTA learned.
The head of state has no doubts that this form of the development of the manufacturing sector is efficient and relevant.
“I wanted to have a look at our brainchild [the Minsk City Technopark that was commissioned on the idle premises of Motovelo Plant]. We have plans to launch another five or so technoparks in Minsk; these projects will be overseen by the municipal administration. Such parks will be created step by step. We will develop high-tech production at the so-called Horizont plant. There will be less hardware and more intelligence there,” the president said.
“There will be various kinds of technoparks. Five such facilities will definitely open in Minsk within the next five years,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
