MINSK, 1 July (BelTA) – Peace in Belarus is the core premise of the state policy, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during a solemn assembly held on 1 July in anticipation of Independence Day, BelTA has learned.
“We celebrate Independence Day under peaceful skies and cherish it very much. We are doing everything to keep peace and thus pay the debt to the generation of victors who gave us 80 years of this peaceful life. We are doing everything to live up to their expectations. Otherwise, what did they die for? Belarus under peaceful skies is both the core premise of our entire policy and the vision of the future we are striving for,” the head of state said.
