MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – As many as 47 Belarusians have been awarded state awards in line with the relevant decree Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed, BelTA has learned.
Orders, medals, and honorary titles have been awarded in recognition of many years of fruitful labor, high professionalism, exemplary discharge of their duties, considerable personal contributions to the development of the Belarusian tractor engineering industry, the country's manufacturing sector, civil engineering industry, in recognition of accomplishments in science and education, in preservation and popularization of the national culture, and in recognition of an active civil stance.
A number of MTZ workers were awarded Orders of Labor Glory. Those are the software-controlled machine-tool operator Piotr Babok, the painter Tatiana Zhibul, the tractor body assembly wing head Leonid Samusevich. Orders of Honor were bestowed on the MTZ's software-controlled machine-tool operator Sergei Sanikovich and the chief designer of the MTZ's R&D center Andrei Stasilevich.
A large number of military personnel were awarded Medals for Excellence in Military Service. Those include the missile preparation engineer of the 116th Guards Assault Airbase Aleksandr Vasilevich, the senior officer of a recon team of the 5th Independent Special Operations Brigade Aleksandr Danilin, Deputy Head of the Military Vehicle Inspectorate of the Grodno Military Commandant's Office Ignat Zybin, Deputy Commanding Officer of the 50th Mixed Airbase Vladimir Skorkin.
Medals for Labor Merits have been bestowed upon Deputy Director for Science of the National Historical Museum Nina Kolymago, Head of the Press and Welding Shop Repair Service of Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units Sergei Kudinovich, the cutting torch operator of the Lida branch of the Grodnovtorchermet enterprise Vitaly Marshalok, Deputy Director of the State Administration Theory and Practice Research Institute of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Belarus Nadezhda Yurashevich.
A Medal of Francysk Skaryna was awarded to Vadim Matantsev, head of the amateur dance company Suzorye.
A number of honorary titles were also bestowed by the decree. Director of OAO Slavyanka Teimuraz Bochorishvili became an Honored Worker of the Manufacturing Sector of Belarus while Deputy Chairman of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Deshko became an Honored Builder of Belarus.
A number of presidential thanks were also conferred. The president thanked workers of the tractor company MTZ in recognition of many years of fruitful labor, high professionalism, and considerable personal contributions to the development of the Belarusian tractor engineering industry. The awardees include Director General's Aide for Social Development and Ideology Andrei Suslenkov, Head of the Human Resources Department Igor Vorobei, Chief Accountant Natalya Gromyko, the wooden models modeler Gennady Leonchik, the tractor driver of the agricultural shop Gaina Igor Tikhanovich, the maintenance fitter of welding and plasma-cutting equipment Igor Shevchik.
Director of the publishing house Belarusian Printing House Roman Oleinik received presidential thanks in recognition of many years of fruitful labor, high professionalism, and a considerable personal contribution to the development of the printing industry and the book publishing industry.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also thanked a number of representatives of the country's agribusiness. Those include agribusiness workers from Minsk Oblast and Zhabinka District of Brest Oblast. Presidential thanks were also bestowed upon worker collectives of OAO Agro-Kolyadichi from Pruzhany District, Brest Oblast, workers of OAO Khotily-Agro from Postavy District, Vitebsk Oblast, OAO Otor from Chechersk District, Gomel Oblast, OOO Dairyfarm from Smorgon District, Grodno Oblast, OAO Gorodilovo from Molodechno District, Minsk Oblast, and the municipal agricultural enterprise Sovkhoz from Klichev District, Mogilev Oblast.
