Mothers honored with state awards in Belarus

MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a decree to confer the Order of Mother on 29 women from Vitebsk Oblast, Grodno Oblast, and Mogilev Oblast for giving birth to and raising five and more children, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Among the recipients are Maria Ivlieva, a senior inspector at the law enforcement and prevention department of the public security police of the internal affairs department at the Postavy District Executive Committee; Yekaterina Krasnaya, a librarian with the Polotsk district centralized library system; Yekaterina Romanovskaya, a reporter at the Slonim cable television station; Svetlana Todoroneko, a hospital aide at the Dyatlovo District Central Hospital; Valentina Afanasyeva, an assembly fitter at the Universal Bobruisk of the Belarusian Society of the Deaf; and Yelena Kisel, an veterinarian at the Dobosnyanskoye enterprise in Kirovsk District.
