MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the personnel and veterans of OAO Belaruskali as they celebrate their professional holiday – Miner's Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Thanks to your incredibly difficult but very important work Belarus is known as the home country of ‘red gold',” the message of greetings reads. “One fifth of the global potassium output is produced and processed into high-quality fertilizers in our country.”
The head of state emphasized that the modern mining industry is a crucial branch of the national economy. The industry makes a big contribution to the enhancement of the export potential, development of the social sector, improvement of living standards.
“Today miners, preserving the best traditions of previous generations of miners, apply cutting-edge technologies, innovative products, research projects for to enhance security and raise labor productivity,” the president said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that a responsible attitude, expertise, high professionalism as well as an active civil position will help the team of Belaruskali reach new heights ensuring the development and prosperity of Belarus.
