MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – At the meeting with Zhang Qingwei, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Chairman of the High-Level Committee on Cooperation between the Legislative Bodies of Belarus and China, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said that he was planning to discuss military issues on 13 June, BelTA has learned.
According to the head of state, he made changes to his schedule to be able to hold this meeting in Minsk. The events that had to be rescheduled are related to defense issues.
“Friday was supposed to be a military day for me. But I have rescheduled my visit to training grounds to the end of the day in order to be able to meet with our old, good friends. It was only natural in view of the recent visit of the Belarusian delegation, my visit to the People's Republic of China, which our ambassador described as successful, and the meeting with my old friend Xi Jinping,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
