MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – On 27 March, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has wished a Happy Passover to the Jewish community, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“On these days, ancient traditions to honor your history and wisdom of the older generation, mutual understanding, decent rearing of children and youth, revive,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state remarked that Belarus is a birthplace of many renowned people – famous sons and daughters of the Jewish people who have always been and remains an important participant of the inter-religious and social dialogue relying on the principles of unity, accord and mutual respect.
“I am convinced that the joy of Passover will bring peace and love to your families, will help support those who need help, care and attention,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
