Lukashenko wishes Happy Easter to top Belarusian Catholic priest

MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent Easter greetings to Metropolitan of Minsk and Mogilev, Archbishop Iosif Stanevsky, BelTA has learned.

“During these festive days every believer gets excited in anticipation of the great wonder of the Resurrection of Christ, which awakens love, faith, and mercifulness,” the message reads.

The Christian Catholic Church plays a significant role in creating the inimitable Belarusian culture, in forming an atmosphere of benevolence, mutual respect, sensitive attitude towards each other in the society, the head of state stressed.

“I sincerely wish that God’s grace will support you, give you spiritual power, health and strength in your selfless service to people. May your high archbishop’s vocation continue to resonate with kindness in thoughts and hearts of every person,” Aleksandr Lukashenko wished.
