MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the participants, guests and organizers of the first Belarusian Media Community Forum “Mass Media in the Age of Digitalization”, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“We see how fast innovative technologies are changing the life of society, what opportunities they offer for the creation and distribution of media content, and what risks they pose to the information security of the state. We understand that the inviolability of our sovereignty, the preservation of the unity and harmony of the Belarusian people largely depend on the professionalism and civic position of Belarusian journalists,” the message of greetings reads.
“I am convinced that your desire to develop and improve, the ability to unite, defending the national interests of the country, is the key to the well-being and peace of independent Belarus,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The president wished the forum to produce many positive results. “Against the background of modern trends in the world journalism, which sometimes neglects ethical norms and moral principles, I wish the national mass media to keep their status, always be the first and stand tall,” the head of state said.
