Lukashenko wishes a happy birthday to Patriarch Kirill

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has wished a happy birthday to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Over the years of your service you have gained the respect of a pastor, outstanding church leader and talented theologian. Your personal example of following gospel precepts, wisdom and experience help strengthen friendship between the brotherly nations of Belarus and Russia,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state stressed that under the leadership of Patriarch Kirill the Russian Orthodox Church is making a big contribution to the enhancement of interfaith and interethnic accord, to the moral education of young people in the spirit of Christian values and respect for the national cultural legacy.

The president wished Patriarch Kirill good health, many returns of the day, unflagging spiritual strength in his noble service.
