MINSK, 31 October (BelTA) – It is necessary to resolve military contradictions and shed the burden of military expenses in order to prevent total militarization of the planet, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security on 31 October, BelTA has learned.
“The worst thing that can happen now is the total militarization of the planet. In this case things will flare up very quickly and lead to far-reaching consequences for all of us. To prevent this from happening, we need to resolve military contradictions and shed the burden of military expenses, find a new way to address current problems and create effective mechanisms to ensure global security,” the president remarked.
