MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – The Ministry of Taxes and Duties needs to analyze the tax legislation and work out a sound tax system, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he made appointments to the economic team of the government on 3 March, BelTA has learned.
“The minister of taxes and duties needs to look into our tax legislation once again. I really hope that you, being an experienced person who has worked in many areas, will work out some new sound system. Maybe we need to take some risks; our country is steady and governable. But we should not chase after anyone, we should proceed from our realities,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The head of state called the optimization of tax benefits a very important task. According to the president, it is important to work out a system intelligible to entrepreneurs so that they do not start their new working day with a trip to a tax inspectorate. “This is how things are sometimes,” Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked.
