MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed to decide on the future of the Belarusian Oil Company as he made new appointments on 2 December, BelTA has learned.
When approving the appointment of Marat Maletsky as Director General of the Belarusian Oil Company, the head of state stressed that this structure employs about 80 people, professionals in their field. At the moment, according to the president, they are underutilized. "It seems to me that they are underutilized. I feel sorry for these specialists. I know that these are very good specialists," he said.
"We need to make a decision with regard the future of the Belarusian Oil Company. It should be utilized 100%," the head of state set the task. "If not, then these specialists should work in their specialty throughout the country." Addressing Marat Maletsky, Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed: "Together with the government and Dmitry Nikolayevich [Krutoi, the head of the Belarus President Administration] you need to decide whether this company continues or not. If it does, then it needs a certain amount of work. I think you will decide."
