MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – It is necessary to make tourism in the country a national project. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during an inauguration ceremony in the Palace of Independence on 25 March, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “It is necessary to make tourism a national project in the five-year period. To reveal our history, culture, and language to the world. The significance and economic potential of this industry is on par, for instance, with those of the mechanical engineering industry.”
