SVETLOGORSK, 14 February (BelTA) – It is imperative to come to grips with the employee turnover at some enterprises and to take additional measures to improve discipline, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he unexpectedly appeared at Svetlogorsk Ferroconcrete Plant on 14 February, BelTA has learned.
He noted that regions should take measures to prevent significant staff turnovers. However, it does not mean that employees should be forced to stay with the company. This should be done through incentives, among other things, but these incentives should be clear and understandable. “Such staff turnovers are not okay. It used to be different in the Soviet period. Come and work, here are the necessary amenities. Do not cheat, do not steal. As to the salary, the more you produce, the more you earn. As simple as that,” the Belarusian head of state said.
