PRUZHANY DISTRICT, 19 August (BelTA) – Belarusian agricultural enterprises should use mostly Belarus-made agricultural equipment, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during his trip to Pruzhany District, BelTA has learned.
The head of state recalled that now one of the most important tasks is to phase out imports. “Up to the point of getting permission to buy a combine harvester or a a seeder. You should buy mostly Belarus-made machinery. Otherwise, our machinery producers will never have enough workload,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
At the same time, the president noted that equipment manufacturers should provide warranty service for at least three years.
“We must use our own products, even if we fall short of the world's standards in some respects. But this is our equipment. Therefore, import substitution is a must. We need to maximize the use of domestically-made machinery!” the head of state emphasized.
