MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – All tasks and plans in all areas of life, including education, should be implemented in time, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed the National Pedagogical Conference on 24 August, BelTA has learned.
“You know, we are smart people, we understand very well what is happening, we analyze, draw conclusions, and this helps us set tasks for ourselves. However, we are held back by red tape, bureaucracy and formalism. We set tasks, commit to fulfill them within a certain time frame and then forget about it. We know what we should do. So, let's just do it, because if we don't do it, we will be in trouble. And if we do it too late, we will pay extra,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
The president drew an analogy with construction: if a facility takes 3-4 years to build instead of 1-2 years, you will have to pay twice as much for it. “And here [in education] it will cost even more. It is not plain to see. You do not see it. But I see this while approving the country's budget,” the head of state said.
“Therefore, let's do what we agreed on and what the speakers spoke about. This [best practices] has already been implemented by some teams. Let's follow suit. And if we address our problems using this principle, we will resolve them without difficulties and without wars,” Aleksandr Lukashenko is sure.
