MYADEL DISTRICT, 2 August (BelTA) – We need to pay the highest level of attention to the cultivation of flax, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said while visiting Myadel District on 2 August, BelTA has learned.
"We will revisit the topic of flax cultivation and we need to work as hard as possible on this front," the head of state said.
The president recalled the meeting held the day before with the Belarusian ambassador to China, who said that China is ready to buy flaxseed in huge quantities from Belarus. Therefore, the flax sector should be given closest attention, the president is convinced.
"In the autumn, we will see the harvest at Orsha Linen Mill," the head of state said.
